So we looked at how you can add widget type information to your lock screen but there’s also a way of adding app shortcuts as part of the lock screen, so you can jump directly to your favourite app, to email or another useful app. Assuming you’ve already created a sliding lock within settings, doing this is easy select App Drawer > Settings > Lock screen > Slider shortcuts* and you’ll see a copy of the lock screen. Move the lock to where you’d like the shortcut placed and a new dialogue with Empty will appear. Tap Empty and a list of options will appear, often you’ll want to use the App entry, which then lists all of your installed apps. Choose one and you’re done!
