Lockscreen widgets that were introduced with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean are one of the lesser known features. They’re really not mentioned much by Google at all but they’re one of the better ways of customising and getting a little more from your Android device.
They’re handy as they put interactive widgets on the lockscreen. So you can check the time, your calendar, email and anything else that eventually gets a lockscreen widget. If you haven’t discovered how to customise them yet, let your device lock and then flick the new-look clock left or right. A plus button will appear, if you tap this you’re able to add any number of additional lockscreen widgets, well, from the three currently available.
Now it’s available hopefully we’ll see more being added in the future.
